Residents gather for Urban Design Workshop

Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation > Events > Residents gather for Urban Design Workshop

From Oct. 29th through Nov. 1st, Walnut Hills residents and business owners joined with the City of Cincinnati and their form-based code consultant team to dream big about the future of our neighborhood. It was a productive process, helping us to see the opportunities and areas of real potential in Walnut Hills. Topics ranged from new mixed-use development and more public space to street re-alignments and bus rapid transit!

Walnut Hills was one of four city neighborhoods (besides Madisonville, Westwood and College Hill) that committed very early to be the first participants in the City’s form-based code implementation. The product of this process will be code overlays specifically tailored to our neighborhood’s strengths and history, and will help create a more vibrant and pedestrian-friendly business district. Click here for more photos of our pin-up session! And check out the closing presentation, featuring the work done for all four neighborhoods.
