Fivepoints Alley

In September, we held a ceremonial groundbreaking to celebrate the start of construction on improvements to the Five Points Alley. Thanks to the design, development, and prototyping from MetroLab students, and the expertise of MKSK – a landscape architecture, urban design, and planning firm – we have developed a space that is a more welcoming gathering place for the Walnut Hills Community.

Lithko Restoration has led the construction team to implement the design improvements. Some of the new items you will see in the space include salvaged materials from throughout the city of Cincinnati, such as granite from the old Fountain Square that has been set in place as permanent seating. We also decided to keep the old scrappy tree and landscaped around it. These improvements truly enhance the versatility of the Five Points Alley, making it a “living room” for our neighborhood.

We are so excited to launch the new space and to celebrate with you all at the next biergarten — is Winter over yet?!
