We are happy to announce that we are the proud partners with several area organizationsfarmstand boy pb in an effort to increase healthy eating in the Walnut Hills community through participation in a Thriving Communities grant from Interact for Health.  Working in collaboration with Findlay Market, the Civic Garden Center, Mercy Neighborhood Ministries, Vitality and Elevate, we accept the challenge to help the neighborhood be healthier!  Look for our work in bringing more produce to the people, more active living, more health screenings.  We will be nudging all of us up out of our chairs and away from the potato chips with recipes, fresh vegetables and yoga on the green.  For today, try this Kale Chip recipe, with ingredients available from the Findlay Market Farmstand.

shake david manns hand Kale Chips

1 bunch washed, fresh Kale
1/2 t sea salt
dash of garlic powder
dash of onion powder
Olive oil spray

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Lightly spray the pan with olive oil.
Tear kale leaves from the stem and cover cookie sheet evenly.
Lightly spray kale leaves with olive oil.
Lightly sprinkle kale with sea salt, garlic powder and onion powder.
Bake for 10-12 min. at 350 , shaking pan once while baking.
