Artist Researcher Project

This project is taking 4 exceptional underground artist into the streets, families, and businesses of Walnut Hills. Their journey will consist of them asking a question about an issue the community is facing, and creating an art exhibit at then end.

This art exhibit will take place on June 30th at Cincy Stories, 961 E. McMillan Street. Attendees can expect to hear various perspective on the history of Walnut Hills, stories of residents and their lives, and how segregation has affected and played a role in the makeup of Walnut Hills residents.

 

Music Off McMillan

June 3rd kicked off our Music Off McMillan series in 2017! This series includes a Biergarten to start off the night at the Five Points Alley, followed by live music at restaurants and bars in Walnut Hills including Fireside Pizza Walnut HillsGreen Man TwistGomez Salsa Cantina- Walnut HillsThe GreenwichJust Q’inBrew House CincinnatiThe Video Archive.

Music Off McMillan takes place the first Saturday of every month through September, so join us at the next one on July 1st!

 

 

HiGH FiVES

Creative Placemaking is something we are passionate about. We believe it is a vehicle that finds solutions for those who live and work in Walnut Hills, and helps engage residents to shape their community. Design Impact, in coordination with LISC, United Way, WHRF Community Coordinator (Aprina Johnson) and WHRF Healthy Outreach Coordinator (Gary Dangel), hosted HiGH FiVES: an initiative to connect neighbors and business through compliment-giving yard signs.
